The 335-page book provides a good overview of the historical development of the two districts.
The Kirchweger family from Öhling and the Sturm family from Oed each have their own chapter. The terrible years of World War II and the period of occupation are also addressed. The accounts of eyewitnesses are particularly moving. Several chapters are also devoted to the municipal merger in 1972 and the period that followed. The book contains numerous evocative photographs from all four seasons, vividly illustrating the beautiful surroundings in which we live.
